Cabling in a CCTV System

CCTV Systems has become more common in today's world and can be found everywhere. We have all seen the security camera in banks and other businesses to monitor what goes on inside. But now the same technology that was once reserved for government and law enforcement organizations is available for the average consumer. The Samsung CCTV camera can be found in most homes as well as offices to help monitor employees activities. These systems can also be used in large retail stores to track and monitor the behavior of customers.

Closed-circuit TV, also referred to as digital video surveillance, is simply the installation of cameras on the premises, with an additional external digital video recorder to forward the video to a central location. This is a great way to keep track of what happens on your premises without being right there. Many people have reported a reduction in crime due to using the axis analog camera. For this reason, businesses and governments are making a concerted effort to put CCTV systems in place. However, there are several types of CCTV systems, and each one has its own pros and cons.

Monitors - CCTV systems that are installed directly on the premises are called closed circuit television or CCTV monitors. These provide the best in security camera surveillance. CCTV monitors usually contain multiple cameras, allowing you to monitor several areas of a building or property at once. Most of these have viewing screens, which show the video footage in real time, and a motion detector are mounted on the wall, so that when movement is detected, the monitoring system will trigger the video footage.

Hidden cameras - This type of surveillance system is hidden from view and therefore not detected by the human eye. Hidden CCTV cameras are commonly placed by crooks to monitor your home, business, or wherever they wish to commit crimes. The purpose of a hidden camera is to catch the criminal unaware and to give them no means of escape. For this reason, hidden CCTV systems are often best used in high-risk locations such as banks, casinos and other financial institutions. In addition, a security camera that can be remotely controlled is also a good idea.

Switches and hubs - A CCTV system can consist of many different components, including CCTV cameras, CCTV transmitters and CCTV receivers. In addition, a CCTV system may also consist of an IP network, video capturing software, and a control interface. For this reason, all CCTV systems have at least one switch or hub to connect all components together.

CCTV Cables - One of the major components of a CCTV system is its video recording equipment. The majority of CCTV systems consist of a number of high-quality digital cameras, as well as CCTV cameras that are connected to a DVR card that captures the video footage for playback on a monitor. Another common component of a CCTV system is the CCTV cables, which are used to connect the recording equipment to the monitors. There are two types of cables commonly used in CCTV systems, optical cables or digital electrical cables, though other types of cables may also be used.
